Built in Wine Coolers, Your Modern Alternative to a Cellar
Medical research has proven that red wine is ineed good for the heart. So for the past few years, my husband and I have been training ourselves to become wine connoiseurs if only to reap the health benefits of drinking red wine. We started with having several kinds of wine in the house and then friends picked up on our new passion and started giving us bottles of wine whenever they came over.
Pretty soon, storing these bottles of wine became a concern for us. In the days of old, people had their very own wine cellars either under their homes or in a separate room outside. The room had constant temperature and prevented the wine bottles from being exposed to sunlight, the elements or varying temperatures. Wine, as you may already know, is a naturally perishable product. It is fermented with yeast and left to mature or age thus adding to its unique taste and flavors.
The problem with wine is that in can spoil due to bottle shock when improperly handled or transported. Varying temperatures can also alter the flavor and aroma of the wine. Too good that there are now built in wine coolers available, which can be custom made to fit any home or mini bar. My husband and I have decided to order one for our home, as this will make storing our collection of wines easier and ensure that they will still be delicious even if we open them a month or so from now.
